Terminal Automation System (TAS) upgrade

LOCATION
System-wide (approximately 100 locations throughout the U. S.)

SYNOPSIS
BP Terminal Automation project involved installing a new TAS at each of approximately 100 BP and joint BP/Transmontaigne terminals in the BP terminal system. Included in the project was installation of new electronic presets at several sites, complete rewiring of most of the existing control systems, and installation of new equipment in terminal control buildings. Ridge & Associates:

  • conducted the site review,
  • selected all equipment,
  • performed detailed engineering,
  • conducted pre-construction meetings,
  • provided start-up assistance, and
  • prepared as-built drawing for all the sites.

This series of projects for BP Amoco Oil Company began in 2000 and is scheduled to be completed by the Fall of 2003.
