Rail Car Unloading/Barge Loading Terminal (2010)
CLIENT
Consolidated Terminals and Logistics Company (CTLC)
LOCATION

SYNOPSIS
This project involved the complete design of a facility to unload
ethanol from rail cars directly into a barge on the Ohio River. Later
enhancements added to the facility included a pipeline connection from
an adjacent ethanol plant and a Marine Vapor Recovery Unit. The facility
included four (4) rail car spots with related pumps for unloading
ethanol from rail cars directly into a barge, along with related vapor
collection piping, spill collection, and electronic controls.
There are very few
facilities like this currently in operation in the USA.
