PROJECT
Crude Oil Tank Farm Expansion

CLIENT
Enbridge Energy

LOCATION
Cushing, OK

SYNOPSIS
This project involved the construction of (5) expansion phases of an existing Enbridge Energy tank farm and pipeline terminal located in Cushing, OK.  A total of (18) tanks, ranging from 233’ to 271’ in diameter, were constructed within the boundary of the existing tank farm, over a 3 year period.  This project was undertaken as a design/build effort with a major tank and general construction company.

Included in the work was demolition of some existing tanks, tie-ins to existing pipeline manifolds, new pipeline transfer pumps, new motor control center buildings, new pipeline prover; new pipeline sampling equipment; and relocation of a stream through the property.  Ridge & Associates, Inc. provided complete engineering design for the site, excluding the tanks and controls.

For this project, Ridge & Associates also designed the office building and all pavement systems necessary to complement the refinery expansion. Design work was completed in 1996-97.
