YNOPSISThe Plains pipeline storage facility expansion project, extended through (11) phases, included construction of over (30) 250,000-barrel tanks, several motor control centers, and various motor-operated valves and tank mixers to the existing Plains facility, giving it significantly increased capacity and capability. Ridge & Associates engineered the piping, metering, and pumps, and also designed the new control systems.
Additionally, Ridge & Associated performed the design work necessary to:
- tie the new tanks into the existing SCADA System for monitoring tank temparatures and levels, and
- link the new motor-operated valves and tank mixers to the exising Rotork Data Highway System.
